SITUATION
Hatchet Gate is a small hamlet of several houses just west of the historic village of Beaulieu. It is situated in the heart of the New Forest National Park offering superb riding, walking and beautiful rural surroundings. The historic town of Lymington with its Georgian High Street and two marinas lies approximately six miles to the west. Access to London is via the M27 and M3 or alternatively by rail form Brockenhurst (five miles) where the fast train to Waterloo takes approximately 90 minutes.
CONSTRUCTION: It is thought that the oldest part of the cottage possibly dates back to the 17th Century and this is of cob walls surmounted by a pitched slate roof. More recent extensions are of brick colour washed to match in with the original and also surmounted by a pitched slate roof. The majority of the windows have sealed-unit double glazing and there is Calor-gas fired central heating with radiators in all main rooms. Kitchen and bathrooms are fitted to very high standard and the property is in excellent decorative order. Many of the original exposed beams have been kept creating a wonderful atmosphere of character.
SERVICES: Mains water and electricity are available at the property. Central heating is Calor-gas fired and drainage is to a private system. We would emphasise that none of the services or equipment referred to in these particulars have been tested.
